New guy from South Carolina

Just acquired a 1942 Ford Siebert ambulance.  This will become a chauffeur driven town car wooden hearse.  Pix to follow.

Re: New guy from South Carolina

As a note:  I drove a hearse in Mt Morris, Michigan, part time after I retired from the Army in 1995.  In real life I am a hot rod addict, better than average wood worker, harp builder, and consulting medical physicist (part time, i'm an old guy)  Left Otisville, MI, 10 years ago  and enjoying the south.  I don't miss the snow in MI.  I have been researching wooden hearses for some time, then I found the 1942 Ford Siebert ambulance that has all the "bones" needed for the fabrication.  The engine will be a GMC V-12, 702 ci.   This engine is also known as a thunder 12. .
